Quick Sandalwood Bath Salts
My scented bath salts had finally run out, and I wasn’t about to miss my evening soak. While the bath water was running, I pulled out my little stash of supplies and did a quick batch of sandalwood‑scented salts. When you keep your ingredients on hand, it takes almost no time at all to mix something beautiful for yourself.
I reached for my dead sea salts and added sandalwood oil, about 5 tablespoons of oil per tablespoon of salts, stirring until the grains were fully coated and fragrant. The mixture went into a pretty little tin I keep near the tub, ready for moments just like this. The jars are beautiful but not a good idea in the tub or shower as the glass can slip and break. If you store it in a cabinet or on a counter, then by all means, go ahead and put it in the pretty jar.
You can use any soaking salt you prefer: Epsom for muscle relaxation, Himalayan for its trace minerals, or a blend of all three if you like a more textured soak.
Sandalwood has a way of filling the space without overwhelming it. The scent is gentle and grounding, yet somehow uplifting at the same time. In the enclosed warmth of a shower or tub, it becomes even softer, almost like a quiet exhale. It’s one of those fragrances that invites you to slow down, breathe deeper, and let the day fall away.
If you’ve never tried sandalwood for relaxation, it’s a lovely place to start. A simple mix, a few minutes of intention, and suddenly your bathroom feels like a small sanctuary.
